Series and Parallel Circuits
To calculate a series and parallel circuit you need to apply Ohm's Law and the Power Triangle:
Remember:
To find the total resistance of a Series circuit you add up the resistant values.
Rt = R1 + R2 +R3
To find the total resistance of a parallel circuit apply the equation:
(1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3) = ?
Rt = 1/?
Remember:
To find the total resistance of a Series circuit you add up the resistant values.
Rt = R1 + R2 +R3
To find the total resistance of a parallel circuit apply the equation:
(1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3) = ?
Rt = 1/?

V = voltages measured in Volts
The most common prefixes are;
pico 1x10^-12
nano 1x10^-9
micro = 1x10 ^-6
milli 1x10^-3
unit 1
